Jervis Bay

Since moving to Australia I am amazed by the beaches here.  I've been going almost every weekend to various places to walk along the shore of as many beaches in my area I can find.  My favourite by far is Honeymoon Bay near Jervis Bay in NSW. This is in Point Perpendicular. It is a long dirt road drive which takes you to this secluded small lagoon of a beach. I saw dolphins swimming and jumping just outside of the small bay.  This was July which is our winter in Australia.

  4. Hey, I've been searching the last half hour everywhere for the location of this bay. Would you be able to give some specifics on how to get there?
    Cheers

  7. Most camping in the bay for areas like honeymoon bay, you will be "roughing it". there are camping/holiday parks around the bay also. Huskisson and Myola both have Caravan parks. Huskisson also has camping grounds with toilets/showers and these grounds should have power for campers :)
mobile reception in the bay area is not always the best but had been told we are getting more towers for our area, so im hoping for a boost in reception!
For anyone wanting to "rough it up" for the weekend i do very much recommend the Jervis Bay as your destination :) if you cant see the marine life from the beach huskisson has whale and dolphin watching cruises too.. so yeah plenty to do in the bay :)
    Also:
Please respect our area and wildlife. Please do not throw your rubbish out your car windows, please collect all rubbish at the end of every camping trip. Jervis Bay is a Marine Park surrounded by State Forest. Help preserve our area so in 40 yrs your kids kids can enjoy the same camping grounds and off road tracks. Sadly due to disrespect i know of at least 1 camp ground and track that has been closed.
